What does it mean to leave a legacy behind?

My vision is for a world where every person’s story and life experience is valued, as a critical link in the chain of human experience. I want a world where no one departs it, without having captured, and appropriately shared their personal legacy statement.

Central to this vision is my belief that intergenerational learning and improvement DEPENDS on VISIONARY elders, who possess the foresight to create a tangible RECORD their life so that subsequent generations might relate to, and extract the wisdom from it.

As a Legacy Design Specialist, a trained journalist, coach and change facilitator, my business aims to help people craft a powerful legacy document that is unique to them, and that will stand the test of time. Not everyone will be looking for this sort of professional support, but everyone should have access to information and conversation on the topic. That is why I founded this Facebook Group.

But our legacy really is so much more than that: it’s the time spent with children and grandchildren, the pearls of wisdom passed down in the workplace, hours spent volunteering in the community, and, for those who can afford it, philanthropic donations to institutions and worthy causes...”https://www.smh.com.au/money/super-and-retirement/leaving-a-lasting-legacy-20200317-p54b1r.html
